Style Red

This red and white striped and dotted cat vase has been hand sculpted from white stoneware clay and fired to over 2,100 degrees. I hand drew the expression and then decorated in underglaze with red stripes and graduating dots.

It has a small hole on the top of its head big enough to fit a slim single flower stem - geranium, pansy, viola, lavender, etc. 

The kitty reminds me of a Dr. Seuss book I had as a child called "Put Me in a Zoo".
 

The kitty measures 7-1/2" and is signed on the bottom. It comes with a little ceramic heart that fits in the hole if you don't have a stem in it.
